The Initial Trade FinanceFund was established by Charles Taberer, Paul Taberer and Gary Isbister. Its objective was to achieve high-yielding net returns by investing in unique trade finance opportunities in global emerging markets with a focus on trade in Africa and has subsequently expanded successfully into Latin America. The team has grown from an initial 3 member into a diverse global team consisting of members in Africa, Latin America and Europe. The product offering has also expanded with the Launch of Challenger Management (UK) Limited which provides invoice discounting and factoring.
